Time Warp… To the 90’s (OR Douglas Coupland Cultural Criticism)

I accidentally stumbled upon (and watched) this video while on 5 minutes breaks from doing dishes this morning.  It is great.  Very 90’s.  But his observations are very sharp and witty. Consider this: it was filmed in the 90’s. On the cusp of the internet’s explosion into the mainstream, right? What he has to say could probably be multiplied 100 times over nowadays; RE: information overload, the de-personalization of relationships and defining yourself by shopping.

It is called “Close Personal Friendship” and it is by Douglas Coupland. Whoever posted it to YouTube broke it up into 3 parts:
