I learned to type on this program.  That’s right, WordPerfect 5.1, run on DOS.  It feels cool to know that I lived in pre-Windows world.  I took a class in high school that taught us how to email.  Yes, we needed to be taught to email.  None of us had done it before.  Email was totally new to us in grade 10.  It was basically brand new to the mainstream world.  It was 1994.  It rocked our world.  I used gopher.  I lived and breathed and learned to type in a pre-WYSIWYG world.  Ha!  I’m old.  The very first computer I ever used was an Apple IIe.  It had no operating system to speak of.  We just threw in a 5¼-inch floppy disk and hit the on switch.
